Sudip Sauden - PATALAYER 06/06/2024 Sudip Sauden - PATALAYER My Story: As a child in Nepal, I witnessed the harsh realities of poverty juxtaposed with joyous celebrations that sharrounded my little village during the national festival “Dashing”. Amidst personal struggles, first accepting my sexuality, then trying to make meaning of life, shaped an unique perspective on life for me very early on. As an adult trying to adapt in a new cultural context as an immigrant in Australia while not completely losing my own. I grappled with my identity as a human first then my aesthetic as an artist, realisation of my truth that eventually compelled me to embrace my true self as a complex blend of Musclinity and Femininity, Vulnerable and Pride, Eastern and Western influences. This journey, culminating in the realisation of my multifaceted identity, forms the layers of "Patalayer".
