Sudip co-wrote and directed Leela as his graduation piece at NIDA in 2022, followed by a directorial internship at the Sydney Theatre Company on Fences with Shari Sebbens. He also directed the music video I Wanna Be for Perth-based indie pop singer-songwriter Darcie Haven. Since then, he has worked as a dramaturg and director on several independent productions, including Mangalsutra at The Riverside Theatre and EU at the Tom Mann Theatre. Versatile in his craft, Sudip has choreographed the cabaret act I Am What I Am and performed as an actor in professional productions at the Sydney Opera House, including Davide Livermore’s 2023 production of AIDA, Michael Gow’s 2016 production of The Pearl Fishers, and Gale Edwards’ 2019 production of Salome. Currently, Sudip is collaborating with the Australian Youth Orchestra and NIDA on the Momentum Leaders Project 2025 as a Director and Writer, with the production scheduled for June 2025. He is also directing And Tell Sad Stories of the Death of Queens by Tennessee Williams, set to be staged in June 2025
